Never sure if I should leave the buildings in the background as a silhouette or try and bring out some detail. I like the challenge in LRc of bringing out the details in the background buildings, but I think the image is better with the buildings in shadow as a silhouette. What do you think?

I think I would leave it as it is. However, it is a bit wonky. You may want to straighten it a bit. I would maybe even try lightening up the boats a bit. Just to see what that looks like.

I vote silhouette :)
 
Definitely with the silhouette but now the boats are too bright. The sun is halfway covered by the building and there is no other light source.

Thanks Roland. The boats may be a tad too bright, but they are casting distinct shadows in the water, and the water is fairly well illuminated.
 
Take 2 does look better. Very nice shot to look at.
