The Landscape Thread

It’s a tall blonde blue eyed medieval super hero with far too much swagger.
Don’t tell that to the wife I’ll never get the remote again.😄

I didn’t really know what it was. I did know what Netflix was though😂 I guess it would be around 3 hours for us. We usually go over to the Lake District for a week and mooch around. It’s a beautiful area.
I would love to see the Lake District again

Does the a6500 have IBIS, and did you do any b/w?

Yes it has IBIS. I usually do switch some to b/w but I haven’t this time yet.

...you have the Bells Line & Katoomba mate - hey, actually, when you got to the mtns, have you ever been up that fire road (?) next to the 3 Sisters --- I remember going down a dirt road near there once
I Think that might be in Australia. This is the English Lake District but it might be nice to visit them both😀

Lol, probably. Don't think I've missed out on too much at Katoomba... 🤠

Here are some from Utah in April. First two are the Hoodoos are at Bryce National Park.
The mountain/waterfall shot (Zion National Park) is unexciting, but if you zoom in to the top right of the waterfalls you can see people. Then the scale becomes evident, but needs pointing out. Any feedback welcome on how to convey vast scale in a landscape photo — I always come away saying “you have to see it to get the scale”, but ideally a photograph could convey that?
The last one has an articulated bus down in the valley which I think helps scale it, but I guess we don’t always have a bus handy when we are taking a shot of a landscape.

At 4:30 am, the tide was out. The light across the bay was from a small regional airport.

These are both from a trip to the Vegas area in 2019 that I really haven't finished all my edits on. The second one I am going to go back and work on to see if I can get a good removal of the cars. These are both from Valley of Fire state park in Nevada.
This one I have a much larger pano shot of. This one is 9031x2677 v 36099x5334

En route to Friday Harbor via ferry, fog rolls over the low hills of Decatur Island.

We went to Vancouver Island for a few days.
We hiked a few trails and found this Hobbit Trail. After we got home I realized I've seen this before, a YouTuber Adam Gibbs did session here. So I guess it's true, once you see a photo you can't unsee it.
Here's a link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8fcqUDDx48&t=1960s
