I took this photo quite a few years ago but I have never really been happy with my processing of it. I had another go recently and this is what I have achieved. It is a cast-iron Victorian pissoir. Sydney City Council bought a number of these as early as 1880 (I haven't been able to establish how many). This one was originally installed at Observatory Hill. It was eventually dismantled and removed from there in 1971, but was saved from disposal and relocated to its present position in George Street beneath the Harbour Bridge. I believe it is the only one left.
