This is my first real attempt at a timelapse and it is of one of the night lilies at Longwood Gardens.

583 images over about 90 mins.

That’s not bad for a first attempt. Even simple timelapses aren’t that easy. What software did you use? It would really benefit from deflickering. I have a timelapse of Circular Quay in Sydney that I have been playing with for almost two years. I really need to pull my finger out and finish it off. I have a few others I have experimented with on my YouTube channel.

Davinci Resolve has the good price of free, so that is what I used. It has a lot and right now I don't have the time to figure it all out.

Obviously the lighting was difficult, if the spotlight they had worked I think there would be less flickering but it didn't (if you do pause it at the correct frame you can see it being taken out). A lot of the flickering comes from all the people that would come up next to me and take pictures, in some cases you can see the red/orange AF light.

Overall as a proof of concept I am good with it. I tried doing this in a couple other software options over the years and the files either didn't generate or they were a complete mess.
