Photo Walks We went looking for bears

When I visit my family (1,000 km away), I spend time with my sister. She is an avid birder, wildlife enthusiast, and talented photographer (Canon). We usually go looking for a bird she's keen to see. This time, we hit the road to look for bears.

We went to the meadow where we had seen a grizzly on my last trip in May.
No bears this time, but I'm puzzled at how vivid the colours are. The edits:

• Lift the shadows in the trees
• Crop to 16x9 to get rid of some fence posts in the foreground
• Nothing done to the colours

We decided to try another location, and along the way, we saw this.

We ended up at this lake, not for the bears, but for the view.

I had the 200-600 and 70-200 GM II, but I couldn't take it all in with either of them, so this is one of those super wide pano-stitch shots.
