Four replacement lens caps. Wondering how long before I misplace the new ones

Well, the A1 II I ordered in December finally showed up. I traded in the A7 IV and kept my A1 for my second body.

On the same day, I got
an iPad Pro 13" (1 tb) with nano textured glass, the pro pen and the Magic Keyboard and a
Mac Studio M4 Max

Downsides
I haven't had time to set up all my settings and custom button settings to the new A1 II. That will be easier when I have my old A1 and the new A1 II side-by-side.

I've never used a Mac before and I have rarely used an iPad. So I'm having some growing pains with the new operating systems.

Because I'm on the road right now, I'm using the iPad to control the Mac Studio. That is, all the processing is running on the Mac Studio, but I'm viewing it on the iPad. It's a very convoluted setup and a pain to get everything working from a cold boot, but once it's all running, it's fine. The 13" screen on the iPad is a little cramped for photo processing, but it's okay 'til I get home.

Travelling light, I brought only my 70-200 GM II, 2X teleconverter, 50 mm f1/2. No 200-600.

Pros

The A1 II feels great in hand. I haven't had time to do anything really challenging with it, but I'm happy with many of the photos I've taken in the last 24 hours.

Capture One is blazingly fast on the Mac Studio. Everything happens instantly. I had grown accustomed to minor pauses when using the AI masking on my older Windows machines. Now the wait is gone. It's like going from an ICE (internal combustion engine car) to a fully electric EV.

Fortunately, there are very few differences between Capture One on Windows and Capture One on MacOS. Most of the workflow is the same.

Congrats!

Half the fun of new toys is not just learning how to use them but learning how to use them better!

(I'm still waiting on my A1 II. And waiting. And waiting...)
