What Photography Related Item Have You Bought or Sold This Week?

Nothing fancy, bought a Neewer charger combo with 2 Z batteries. I had a few different options on my wishlist, but Neewer was on sale.

The guy who bought my 70 200 just bought the 150 600 G2 Tamron too. He will be very happy with those 2 lenses, as my bank account with the funds.

This is my go-to lens for indoor sports. Just shot an ice hockey game with it this morning, super fast focus and very through the range. I usually stop it down one or two stops just to stay away from the extreme wide open, but have also shot it many times wide open with great results. I am sure you will enjoy it!!!

A Silence Corner Atoll S+ tripod collar mount.

Technically it was my wonderful family rather than me that bought it. Last weekend was Fathers day here in Australia but for various health and scheduling reasons we didn't do anything until today.

Purchased a Sigma 500mm f/5.6 for the Sony (and Nikon Z8). I'll be tracking the Amazon all day.

This is my first time using a third-party lens on my cameras. I hope the glowing reviews are correct.

Every Sigma lens I have ever owned has been tack sharp and very well made! Good luck with it.

Picked up a Sony FE 1.4x Teleconverter.

Much smaller and lighter than the Nikon and Fuji variants.

I have the 1.4 and 2.0, both are great, enjoy!

I decided on the 1.4x (instead of the 2x) because I was concerned about the light loss with the bigger one. Time will tell - I may decide to get the 2x as well.

Sold my last Nikon camera for the 4th time, thanks to time wasters on eBay, who really need to monitor buyers better.

After reading Tim's reviews of the Novachips CFeA cards, I thought I'd see if I could get one.

A while back, Amazon would ship me any of the three sizes, but when I went back recently, both the 400 and 1.6TB had changed to "cannot ship to your location". So I ordered an 800 before it changed, too! It arrived this week, and I'll give it a go this weekend. That takes my collection to two brands of v2 cards (Sony and Lexar), and three brands of v4 cards (Prograde, OWC, and now Novaschips).

My Dad is 94 and still seems pretty tough, anyway, this year he decided to gift his 3 children some cash he had squirreled away somewhere.

Lucky me!

I've been wanting to try the 400 800 for a while, despite my previously published reservations about such a lens. I went into our local retailers to have a look and see if they'd let me play with one. They didn't have a demonstrater, but had just received a mail order return. It was just shy of £2100 and immaculate.

I took it outside, pointed around a bit and wow, I was impressed. I think it's probably the perfect birding lens for Spain. I got a further 10% off for being such a handsome chap (I think that's what he said) bringing it down to £1900. With a 12 month guarantee and 30 day, change your mind window. I couldn't really say "no".

I'd also been considering the 24 - 105 f4 for travel. Again they had a return that had been kicking around the warehouse which they let me have for just shy of £560.

Don't tell Mrs Unframed, but I had now spent a wee bit more than my Dad gave me. Between us, right?

I also handed my A1 in for a sensor clean, I'm one of their nicer customers, so I get one clean free every year. Normally, they charge £66 for this service. My camera was returned to me within about ten minutes.

Quite a successful morning.

I've just had a walk round the South Quay in Great Yarmouth with the 24 - 105 coupled to my A7CR, and I'm rather pleased with it.

Bonus!

Just registered the 400 800 and got another 12 months guarantee.

The 400-800 on an A1 (or the A9 III) is an excellent combination. Focus during zoom is a delight - I use 400mm to find the birds, and zoom in while tracking, all the way to 800mm.

I think you are going to enjoy this lens!

As far as my Sony stuff, sold the Tamron 90 Macro and now will only have Sony glass again with the pre-order of the new Sony 100 F2.8 Macro GM, very excite3d to try it with my 1.4 tele-converter, Sold my RX1RII and my DJI Mini 4 Pro and Air 3 drones.
Picked up a couple of DJI Mavic 4 Pro drones and a couple of DJI Mini 5 Pro drones as well. The reason for two of each it is a form of insurance against a possible US ban on any new ones.
