I'd like to get a skin for my Tamron 50-400 but I can't really find anything decent here.

I had carelessly left an eBay page open so I ordered a "mint" Nikon FM2 from Vietnam for 300 dollars.

Upgrade on Jan 5th: The seller annulled the transaction.

I thought I was safe. No one had it in stock. Then the phone rang. My local dealer had one waiting for me. I am doomed to work until I'm 87 years old....

...But I'm sure gonna have a helluva lotta fun in the meantime.

Just picked up a Sony FE 100mm f/2.8 Macro GM.

🎉😍:D

You’ll love it, and hey, no room for money in a coffin.

The definition of successful retirement planning is that your net worth, upon your expiration, equals zero.

I'm doing my part to be successful in this particular endeavor.

LOL!!! Spot on.

I have a suspicion that should I manage to get my net worth to zero, that my expiration date will be “encouraged” to be simultaneous…

I picked up a Puluz Light Box, so that I could have more controlled lighting of the itty-bitty things I may want to capture.

As per my post above I bought a ZWO Seestar S50 smart telescope on eBay.

These bits arrived today. I am amazed at how well made these things are for the price.

recently traded in my 2 tamron lenses for the sigma art 24-70 f2.8 mk2 got £200 cash back on sigma lens ,and very nice it is too crispy sharp and a well made lens ,I also purchased a pair of pytech fingerless gloves for photography and cycling bit pricey but well made and leather got these at the photoshow in hammersmith 20% off

Next week it αll arrives.
I sold my L-mount mount gear on forums for a bit, then bundled the rest off to a reseller for a Tam 70-300rxd and a decent check. A 28-60 Sony and viltroxi 20 and 40 should be here by Tuesday, then an EA4 and Minolta 50rs macro. That will do for a while, until I learn if the 50mac + 100-200 justify the ea4 hassle with the α7³. If not an fe 50 or sigma 70, or my extension tubes, or an old Sigma 50 PK mount will take the closeup tasks.
Many ways to play!

I loved the S5 but fell victim to the any-day-now virus: great L lenses were/are always coming soon.. The S 70-300 Lumix was nice though.

p.s. Hilarious - well a little bit.
My Viltrox 20mm finally reached Portland, an hour south of me - then detoured east to Bend! It's a pretty place, but I'd rather it came to me rather than visiting my cousin's family...
Problem is not enough user base, always loved panasonic ergonomics and build and they were the first mirrorless interchageble lens cameras but they prioritised video over stills which is a smaller user base ,but if they had sonys ,nikons or canons ethos they would be a great choice i can see them ending the camera division ? mind saying that sony has just sold out their tv business which is very (was) strong not sure in modern times how they can survive with tarrifs etc and china domination .
