What Photography Related Item Have You Bought or Sold This Week?

I am sure this will either be good for some of you or be a curse for some of you but B&H is running a big Mega Deals event. I haven't looked through everything but in the bags/cases/protection stuff there are a lot of great deals if you need those things.

Just glancing at some stuff and I found this odd combo of deals for those looking at NAS
Synology DS925+ 4-Bay NAS Enclosure - $639.99
Synology DS925+ 4-Bay NAS Enclosure Kit with BE600M1 Back-UPS Battery Backup - $616.99
Not sure how they got to those prices

Only an evil person would send this to a bunch of camera junkies, LOL.

+1

Excuse me, but I'm off to check the B&H listing of MegaDeals of things that I didn't realize (until now) that I couldn't live without...

I sold my Nikon NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S Lens...

...coincidently (OK, not really) I also ordered a Nikon NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S II Lens.

🎉

I was considering buying one more memory card before the prices jumped up, but I discovered I was already too late.

Novechips seem to have moved less than most, though.

So I decided not to buy a card for now - I do have quite a few.

I picked up K&F CONCEPT 3-Pack NP-FZ100 Battery and Upgraded LCD Battery Charger today as they were on sale at Amazon for $54. My Neewer batteries from 2018 are basically only half life at this point and some of my older Sony ones are getting a little old. Reviews seem to suggest that these are like 95% of the Sony ones which if that is the case should cover the vast majority of my outings.

3000 LUMEN RING LIGHT from weefine

designed for scuba diving but brilliant as a ring light in the operating theatre and clinic

as it is designed for UW use it is tough and waterproof so I am happier using disinfectant on it

attached via a 67mm thread and I am using it at ISO 400 and f11-16 on aperture priority

They do work well but you end up with a lot of 'doughnut' reflections if the subject is wet or shiny.

No, I did not buy a new lens or camera

(I'm sure you're as stunned as I am..... :p)

I did order a new GPU - Asus GeForce RTX 5090. I've been wanting to upgrade for awhile and decided to pull the trigger before the RAM/DRAM prices/shortages make these unobtainable.

If you are photographing people, you are likely to get catchlights in the eyes that are rings, or partial rings. I don't generally mind that, but some people really don't like them at all.

(and yes, eyes are generally wet!)
