What Photography Related Item Have You Bought or Sold This Week?

Sold my FujiX100VI and Sony A1, picked up a Sony ARVI, so now both my Sony bodies are the same. Also bought a Pro Media GT2 Tomahawk V2 gimbal head attachment for my Gitzo monopod. I think I am ok for the moment although I keep wondering if it makes sense to sell my 70-200GMII. GM 135mm and GM 85mm F1.4 and get the GM 50-150mm F2 or keep both the 70-200 for the days I would rather use it with a 1.4 TC and leave the 100-400 home, also keep the 135 as a lighter weight travel lens and sell the 85mm along with the GMII 24-70mm and get the GM 28-70mm F2. I have both the GM24mm F1.4 and GMII 16-35, so 24mm is covered. The 28-70 seems more likely for me, I do not like that I cannot use a tc with the 50-150 or just stay with what I have. I have never really bonded with the 85mm F1.4, I wish it would focus closer.

I'm the wrong person to ask, but...

Universal truth (so sayeth me): More lenses = more flexibility = more happiness = less $$$.

Almost universal truth: Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Complicating factors: Spousal units (are you gonna be comfortable sleeping on the sofa?) and available funds (What's wrong with a 3rd mortgage? And why are you looking at me that way??!?)

So can't find the old thread about recent new gear purchases so here is a new one.

For me I have been messing around with macro more and more and decided that after getting my tax return I was going to pickup some kind of flash kit. After some reviews I have landed on the Godox MF-12 2 light ring kit (their website is slow). Starting with the two flash set and will see how it goes, also I think this gives me more options than a ring flash would.

I recently bought the same, and yes, it is better than the ring. I said goodbye to the A12, the A93, and an A7R5, which I ridiculously still miss, even though I have a far better camera now.

I also traded in 12 lenses. Don't ask me which ones, because I can't remember, but I didn't need them. What I have now is two Sony A7RM6 bodies, one Hasselblad X2D Mark II 100C, and three lenses for it: a 75, a 25, and a 135 with a 1.7 teleconverter.

Hey, no, shut it. It's not time yet. Sorry about that, but one of my dogs is whining because she wants dinner, and it's half an hour before their dinner time.

I tested out the pre-capture and frames per second on the 6 before I got rid of the 9, but I really found the 93 overkill. The A1, too, I just wasn't impressed with at all. I couldn't see what the fuss was about.

I'm very happy with what I've got now. The reason for having two bodies that are exactly the same is that I am disabled, and whenever we go out shooting, my husband passes the gear to me when I need it. I usually have a very good idea of which lenses I'm going to want to use where we're going, so I put one lens in the 6 and another lens in the other 6. That way, all I have to say to him is, "Could you give me the other camera, please?"

Because he isn't a photographer, there's no point saying, "Can you pass me that lens?" and naming it, because it doesn't compute with him. He's very helpful as my caddy, that's for sure. I take my hassle bag in a completely different bag, so that one is easy to just pass to me. I can quickly put the lens I want on it.

By the way, the 6 is excellent. I got excellent bird shots in flight with it and takeoff shots with the pre-capture, so I didn't need the A9 III at all, particularly with much fewer megapixels.
