It had been a bright, sunny Easter Sunday wandering through Penicuik Estate, the kind of day that feels more like spring than anything else. But as I made my way back to the car park, the light shifted; the sky dulled, and within minutes a heavy snowfall swept across the landscape.
Passing this solitary tree, I watched the scene begin to disappear in a curtain of white and quickly reached for my camera. Using a slower shutter speed to let the movement of the falling snow paint the scene. A fleeting moment of quiet transformation, caught just before it disappeared.
