Your portfolio will thank you!

You can jump on a plane to Costa Rica and point your camera at the rainforest… but without knowing the hotspots, you might miss the very birds you came to see. That’s where a workshop makes all the difference. We’re Jeff & Angie Birmingham, award-winning photographers, and we’ve built a tour that takes you straight to the best birding locations in Costa Rica.

Here’s why joining us beats going solo:

  • Prime Locations, Already Set Up – We’ve done the scouting, so you’ll be right where scarlet macaws soar, toucans perch, hummingbirds dazzle, and resplendent quetzals appear.
  • Learn While You Shoot from a Master of Photography – We’ll teach you techniques for fast action, tricky rainforest light, and capturing feather detail that makes your images pop.
  • Hands-On Feedback – Real-time coaching so you grow as a photographer while building your portfolio.
  • Stress-Free Travel – Lodging, meals, transportation, and guides are all included—you just bring your gear.
  • Small Group Experience – Personalized attention and plenty of time in the field with us.

A workshop isn’t just about going somewhere new—it’s about transforming your bird photography while experiencing the thrill of Costa Rica’s incredible species up close.

When I retire (can't happen soon enough!), this is exactly how I'd like to be spending my time. Photo tours, cruises and workshops! I would love to take an extended tour of the Canadian Rockies, Scotland & Scandinavia.
