Very nice. I took a lot of photos of my kids when they were little. I cobbled together a very amateur studio with a cheap background, some old light stands with some old flashes & some cheap umbrellas. I even bought a cheap flash meter. You can get some really good results with a bit of experimentation.

Did you take a photo that you really like in the last week? If so, please do share it here.

Also, if you'd like to challenge yourself you could post a photo each week for 52 weeks, yep that's a whole year! Just comment before your photo which week you are on.

This thread did start out life as a 52 week challenge, but after some discussions with members here renaming it simply to: "Photo of the Week" made more sense, but leaving the option for members to continue or start fresh with a personal 52 week challenge if desired.

A big thank you to everyone who contributes here! :)

I do like to get both eyes! But I like this profile. I enjoyed the processing too: the background was very bright, but with darktable's easy-to-use masking I could separate the subject from the backround, reducing both brightness and saturation in the latter

Only AI might have fixed the mic in front. But, by chance, it forms quite a decent framing element.

Week 1/52: Scotch Bonnet Peppers. These little bundles of heat are named after their oft resemblance to the Scottish Tam (ie: tam/hat/bonnet) as you'll see in my overexposed first pic. Side note, I suck at using the little flash that comes with the a6400. The second picture shows the vibrant orange that my variety gets to when ripe, though these peppers can also be red or yellow when ripe.
