This is my first astro attempt at something other than the Moon or the Milky Way. This was taken looking over the ocean. My aim was to include the whole of Orion but next time I'll try a longer focal length. I really struggled with the post processing of this one but I'm reasonably happy with it for a first shot.

It’s a nice shot. It’s weirdly comforting seeing it upside down as that’s how I remember it when I was a lot younger looking up at the night sky from Melbourne in the 1970’s.
