I know this should be easy but I cannot figure out which setting to start. I thought it was P, then go to menu, set all preferred settings, go to Recall page 3 and it would register settings. Seemed to work or 2 & 3 but not 1. Frustration has set in.

You start with the shooting mode you want to base the saved setting on, so M, A, etc. Then set your base Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO and then all the other settings like WB, Metering, etc. Once you have all of that done you go find the "Camera Set Memory" and select the number you want to save this too.

Thank you for your response. I have a A7ivA and have tried using M, A, S, and P and have gone into the menu to set each setting I want to use for BIF and each time "MR Recall" is greyish and saying "this function is currently disabled." I have no idea why this would be the case.

The MR Recall menu will only be available when you are on 1, 2 or 3.
