This past weekend I was invited to participate at Rocart Cultura fair in Peñíscola, Castellón. There were artists of many disciplines (painting, ceramics, sculpture...) and I participated with some of my photographs from Japan. To my surprise the first sale was this picture that I took at a Kyoto restaurant while I was waiting for the food. Just a casual shot but the light coming from the window was soft and beautiful. Now it will always be a special picture for me.

Well done, nice shot. I’ve never printed one of my photographs so I don’t know what the work flow is. Do you have a different post processing process for prints?

Congrats Alex. First of many I’m sure!

Thanks Tim! Hopefully so.

I used the same post processing as I did for sharing on my social networks, but followed the guidelines of the printing company. They were recommended by a customer of my shop and they were fast and reliable.

I guess each printer and print shop will be different, but out of interest, what did you have to do, e.g., did you have to increase/decrease highlights or contrast, etc? Did you have to do a lot of tweaking? Will a quality professional print job reflect the look of the screen image without tweaking?
