The Bailion Crake is one I have been lucky enough to get last year and so to the next one the Spotted Crake which I think is a little larger out of them all.
Then only the other day I got this Spotless Crake and I have been after it for a while.
All these Crakes are small and being from about 16 cm to the 22 cm in size.
Being a very scared little bird you just have to be lucky or stay motionless and hope it comes out into the open.
The new set up I am running is working well for me.

Good scores Aussie.
Yes, the Spotless runs and hides in the reeds.
Spotted tip-toes around the reed bases. Baillons floats among the reeds.

Ziggy living just across the road for the wetlands I do get a better chance and many others .
But in reality they (the birds) don't know you and will take off on 1st sighting of you .
Though I have stayed in one place for a while and got the Baillon and the Spotted.
Much to learn about the new one on its habits.
A few day prior to this I got the Little Australian Bittern. Going be what has been said this one is close to one of the hardest to get.
If this is the case I feel lucky to get shots of it.
Thanks for you input on these ones as they are a secretive little lot of birds.
