APSC 25mm f/1.7 Viltrox

It came hot on the heels of their excellent 35mm f/1.7 and I was interested since the price was reasonable I put it on my wish list. Amazon Prime day saw a drop in price below their pre-order price and I jumped on it last week.
Like the 35mm, this 25mm is almost the same size and suits the APSC bodies quite well; its not a pancake, but its fairly compact.

I'm happy to say autofocus is as fast and accurate as the full-frame Sony 24mm 2.8 G I had previously.

Looks like a pretty sharp lens with creamy bokeh. And it feels natural on your 6700.

Low weight means the balance is very good in the hands.
I wish it were weather sealed, but I assume that was a sacrifice made by Viltrox to keep costs low.

Congrats on the new lens Chris, it looks like a winner. If you get even half as much pleasure from its use as I have from my Viltrox 16mm you will be getting a lot of pleasure from it indeed.

All E-mount lens work with all e-mount cameras (so all the Sony A7, A9, A1, A6xxx models and more). Full-frame cameras on an APS-C body will see no difference, APS-C lens on a full-frame body will only cover the center 50%ish of the sensor.

I see, so it is different than old days when i have Canon DSLR, as they have two types of bodies, full frame and crop frame, and there are lenses only for crop frame sensors that isn't compatible with full frame, will cover only center without wider corners.

When looking at lens specs for Sony cameras, an FE lens is for full frame and if the lens says Sony E, double check if it is for APSC. Both will fit, but whereas an APSC body can use either without issue, a full-frame camera needs a full frame lens for total sensor coverage.

I know about full frame crop frame and coverage, i just thought with Sony or all brands it will be the same, as i tried to mount a crop factor lens on my full frame camera and i couldn't, people told me to remove kind of band or rubber around the contact mount to be able, i didn't bother, so i thought with Sony and mirrorless it will be the same, i wasn't talking about FOV coverage, and yes David did explain, and you also explained it nicely i appreciate that, thank you all.
