Birds Birds in Flight Thread - Post Your Shots Here

It needed some cropping, but I finally got a shot of a Wood Duck in flight. This one shot out of the grass and I was lucky to get the shot. Probably should have taken the shutter speed down a bit, but I did not have any time to think. It was the only item to come out of my trip to the Mass Audubon Sanctuary. Like always, lots of room for improvement. View attachment 86143
Excellent. BIF are the hardest to shoot.

Nice shots, presumably they are taken at a bird of prey centre.
Not exactly. They are taken at the Raptor Foundation which s a Raptor rescue and rehab centre. I am a wheelchair user. I am lucky enough to be able to photographs of these beautiful birds at this centre. Most of my animal photgraphs are taken at rescue rehab breeding of endagered species places. You can donate to them. I paid a for years access. I live surrounded my US bases and can only assume this is where non native birds are from. Not just from there and I could well be wrong but there is a trade in such birds all over the world.
