Dead SD card

Plaease can someone recommend a data recoery service for accessing a dead SD card. This was working in camera and it suddenly stopped storing photos and came up with an E. I changed card and the camera continued working. When I got home, the card was not recognised on my PC or laptop, or when using alternative card readers. The pics were from a holiday of a lifetime to Alaska so quite important. TIA

I had card issues last year with 3 cards on a trip, long story short a bought the disk drill recovery and recovered all but 36 images, so in summery I got back almost 1200 images.

I’d stop trying the card in different readers now, just in case it’s making things worse. If the card isn’t recognised at all by multiple devices, it’s probably beyond normal recovery software and needs a proper lab.

If you’re in the UK, I’ve heard people mention companies like Fields Data Recovery and Ontrack, but I’d check recent reviews carefully and ask whether they offer a no-data/no-fee assessment before sending it in. Also avoid anyone who wants you to run repair/format tools first. For important trip photos, a professional recovery service is definitely the right route.
