If you have heard the stories about temperatures getting so low that iguanas were freezing and falling out of trees in south Florida... well I can confirm personally that its true.
This morning coming back from my walk, I saw this guy "frozen" in 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Forgive the non-Sony picture:
They are not frozen solid, merely in a sort of suspended animation, like they're asleep, unresponsive to the touch.
Later when I went back to take pictures, somebody had moved him to the grass:
In the grass, and in full sun, he was starting to wake up a bit. I could see him breathe but he didn't blink as I walked around him taking pictures.
