Tried the Sony a9 III + 200-600mm for some Golden Eagles in flight. These are huge birds with ~7 foot wingspans that move very fast when hunting ground squirrels. They move through the viewfinder really fast - especially at such close distances of ~10 feet so I appreciated the internal zoom and 60 fps drive mode of the A9 III. I have shot Canon several years and still do so for video, so I'm finding myself zooming the wrong way so need to re-train that muscle memory for my Sony stills setup lol.

Where are you located to get a shot like that, and at eye level too?

Very nice. The ultimate bird of prey for me. Never get anywhere as close in Scotland though.
