I am not much of a blogger, But i do look for information on blogging sites. I finally purchased a higher end digital camera, retiring my old 35mm nikons.
I will be reading your posts for guidance.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Welcome Mark and thank you for joining up here. Which camera did you go for?

A7 IV 24-70 GM II, FE 14MM 1.8... thats it for now. Looking for a partial camara/crap backpack. Not sure which long lens I want. I'm going to Alaska fishing. These should do for this trip.

Timothy, how steady is the 200-600?

The a7 IV was a great choice! I put together a backpack guide focussed on the 200-600 lens a while back that you might find helpful:

Do you mean how effective the stabilization is or the handling? The stabilization works well and it's a great lens to handle since it's an internal zoom lens so the barrel doesn't extend. It does use up more space in a backpack than the 100-400 would, but that extra 200mm of reach is also very useful.
