Had an opportunity to photograph my first Great Horned Owl in the wld. My wife spotted it during our drive through Nine Pipes NWR in north western Montana at the beginning of May trying out our new A1II's.
Not actually sure it was winking. It may have had an injured eye, so we reported it to the local authorities just in case.
