Whilst most technical photo and video jargon is above my pay scale, I have never the less been very satisfied with this camera for the last five years using just the Kit lens. However, I'm about to purchase my first lens (zoom) and will shortly post my first help required.

What lens did you settle on for your first new lens? Did you favor a wide aperture standard zoom, a telephoto lens, or an "all-in-one" type of lens?
