My name is Damian; I live in the UK, but I am originally from Poland.
English is not my native language, so please excuse any grammar errors.
My journey with photography began a long time ago, back in the days of Minolta cameras and lenses. I remained loyal to the A-mount system.
When the digital era arrived, I used the Konica Minolta Dynax 7D, followed by Sony cameras: the A900, A99, and A99 II. Once production of that system came to the end, I switched to the E-mount. After spending some time with various models (A7III, A7RIV), I am currently using the Sony A7R V.
Since I started with analog gear, my passion for traditional photography has never faded -I still use a Contax 645, Horseman 45HD and Mamiya 6 - was bouht for my wife - good explanation ;P She occasionally lets me use it.
Furthermore, my favorite travel lenses for the Sony system are manual-focus designs from Voigtländer. Of course, I don’t rely solely on manual lenses; my camera bag also contains several lenses from Sony and Zeiss (the Batis series).
I sometimes joke that I have more lenses and cameras than I have time to actually take photos
I am still working on finding a better balance in that regard.
I am very happy to have joined this forum. Once I learn how to navigate the site and post photos, and become an active member of the community, I look forward to meeting interesting people and finding plenty of ideas and photographic inspiration here.
