Thanks for accepting me to the group. Currently I shoot with an a7II equipped with the 28-70 kit lens . I’m looking to upgrade to either an a7RV along with the Sony FE 70-200mm 2.8 GM OSS II lens. I primarily shoot wildlife along with some landscape. I’m looking forward to interacting with all, drawing on your experience and sharing mine.

Welcome, I have the 70 - 200 ii. It's an amazing lens, but strangely not one that gets much use these days. For my type of photography, I usually go either side of it, 24 - 70 or 200 - 600. It all depends what you intend to do with it I suppose.

Hello and welcome! The 70-200 GMii is my go-to lens. I shoot a lot of sports, and with the fast 2.8 it's perfect for ice hockey. Likewise, with a 2.0 teleconverter, it becomes a decent wildlife lens. I had the first iteration of this lens and upgraded to the GMii. The original was great, but the GMii just took things to the next level in terms of autofocus speed, and it's a bit lighter too. For me, it was definitely worth the upgrade. I have really lightened my bag, a1ii, 24-70 GMii, 70-200 GMii, 24-105 G, 200-600 G, and 90 Macro G. Oh and a 35mm prime for fun stuff.
