Hi
I’m a long term Sony shooter, ZVE1 (as well as other Sony and Nikon cameras) previously and now have just got an A7CR.
I sold my ZVE1 as I was mainly using it for photos (which it isn’t actually bad at) as I also have an Osmo Pocket 3 now and have found that I was increasingly using it for my YouTube channel. The Pocket 3 is better for the type of videos I do, as it’s fully stabilised and it’s also pretty good in low light. It’s frictionless and fits in the pocket, I can stick it to windows in my car videos easy as it’s light and it’s very nice video quality. So for the non professional video work I do the Pocket 3 was a better fit. However I wanted to still have high quality video capability for video done at home, talking head etc.
I like to travel which is why I went for the A7CR. It certainly has good enough video capabilities, I can’t really tell the difference in S Cinetone compared to my ZVE1. BUT that high resolution means I can travel with my 24mm F2.8 Sony and 40mm F2.5 Viltrox rather than my zooms and keep a very small and light package with crazy cropping ability. For my photos which I mainly share online I can crop the A7CR photos in around 10x and still get exceptable results, it’s insane. The autofocus also seems snappier than on the ZVE1.
Thanks
