I come from over 14 years moderating several forums at DPReview.com. Film shooter since 1978, went digital in 2005 and after going through some APS-C systems, settled on MFT for 12 years. Only last year decided to sell everything and invest in my first FF system. At the time, I was researching various systems, Canon use to cripple entry level models to avoid cannibalizing higher end models, which I really hate, and why I'll never go back to Canon. Then the other two options was Nikon, which I heavily used on my film days, and Sony. Then I asked a question to ChatGPT: Give me the sensor manufacturers of all the FF and APS-C systems. Well, turns out that Sony is the main manufacturer for all systems, including Nikon. Yes Nikon provides some secret sauce in the processing side, but my though process went to: "Why not go with the source". And Sony it is.

My first body, the A7RIV literally dropped my jaw when I first loaded those beautiful 61MP files in Lightroom. Used it for a few months and then had the opportunity to upgrade to the A7RV, which improved several issues I had with the R4.

So, very happy with my current system, and hoping to contribute and share experiences with fellow alpha shooters.

Below, a few from my recent visit to Yosemite. BTW, that's me visiting the Ansel Adams gallery.
