So just got back from a trip again and 2 of the 4 64gb Kingston canvas go plus cards have I used were playing up on up load to laptop and now have the 0 byte error, any help please its wiped 4.5 days 1200 shots appox, of shots so I am not happy. I have used these cards for a couple of years now and this is the first issue, oh they show the error in camera as well now and they were fine

I used Recoverit when I accidently deleted some files. No idea if this can help you but might be worth a try. Sucks that this is happening. Best of luck.

I meant to ask how well did that work for you David?

I got back the files I wanted. Not the greatest files but still happy I have them. Again my files were only deleted on a card that was/is still good.

Gary,
Kingston may have some recovery app on their website. I had a problem with a San Disk and I used their app. It worked OK but not all files where recovered, sorry to say..
Regards

Is the 0 byte error a known issue with the Kingston cards? I don't think I have ever used anything from Kingston.

So I bought disk drill app and it took a couple of hours but recovered 504 arw uncompressed files in full from the first card including full metadata as far as I can see. I will look at the other card later today and report back, thanks for replies guys, I am so glad I to have these files back

Sorry to hear that Gary. Glad that you have already managed to recover files from the first card. Strange that two of your cards have been corrupted at the same time though, I’d be wondering if it’s a camera issue if both cards have been working fine for a couple of years already.

Ok so we were on a cruise again and the cards were in the safe having been filled in storage, the safe battery failed and the safe was opened using an electronic scanning device and that seems to be when the cards lost some data, they were the only 2 cards in the safe the camera was out and spare empty cards in a storage container in my kit bag, so just a theory I guess I will never know really
