Hi Team, anybody use lens warmers wraps for astro during cold winter shoots ?
Please share things or products you reccomend.
And also share the things you wouldnt reccomend (when not to use)

I am a Sony A7R4 shooter using 16-35gm fro astro.

Cheers

I bought a Camera Duck Standard All Weather Cover from B&H. It has slots for inserting hand warmer packets.

Another photographer who shoots Astro. for fun recommended a product called, 'Hot Hands". It's a small chemical packet (2" x 3") that begins to warm when the contents hit the air. Doesn't actually get "hot" but he places it on the barrel of the lens and says it keeps the lens warm enough to shoot with on cold nights.
I know "hot hands" also make one for a shoe so if you're using a longer lens, the shoe one might work well too. You can find Hot Hands and Hot Feet online and in stores (sporting goods dept usually) like Wal-mart, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods (camping section). Hope this helps.
