Trying out my new lens today the Tamron 24mm 2.8 using my favourite model…
It’s crazy how close it focus…

Certainly nice and sharp. How's the AF on that tiny beast? 215gm is incredibly small!

It’s an excellent lens .. the AF was one of the things I’d read that wasn’t that great but I haven’t noticed any issues with it and to be honest what you would use this lens for it wouldn’t make a difference anyway..
And the price is excellent.. $300 Canadian..

I do find that. AF on some stuff gets bashed, then you use it and it's lovely. I did notice how lightning quick my little Sony 20mm G was when I used it the other day after not using it for a while, clearly quicker than my other wide lenses but still doesn't mean my other ones have ever caused even the slightest issue for me. You are right, a lot of time you just simply consider your standard use of the lens and it makes the extra 0.1s time to focus irrelevant.
