Just upgraded from A6000 (7 years) to A6500. Decided to stay with the cropped sensor since a couple of my lenses would also have to change.
Expense was a factor since this is just a hobby for me in retirement (along w/ golf and fishing) which also can push the retirement budget.

Welcome Dale and thanks for joining up here. I owned the a6500 for a couple of years, it's a great little camera. I traded it for the a6400 as it has better AF performance.

I hear you on the competing expenses, I don't know which is worse in that regard: Fishing or Photography 😅
If only waterproof cases were cheaper, I would combine the two hobbies as I fish out of a kayak 90% of the time.
