Cool, what time of year?
The best times are at the highest tides, they post a list, but a few from September through to April. I have a set of images from there on the forum, as does Steve.

8,9,10th October this year are the highest tides but good numbers can be seen throughout winter but you need the highest tides to force the birds off the mudflats and into the gravel pits where they roost in mind blowing numbers until the tide has receded, when they depart en masse back out to the feeding grounds. One of the UK's great wildlife spectacles .

I'll be going again later this year, so you are welcome to come along. It's usually an early start and is busy, but it would save 2 cars going. I'll chat with you about it next week.
