I went to Lock 11 in Mildura and it was getting a little late when I took these shot.

That's why wildlife photography is awesome. You can just get situated in a location and relax and take your time. You see some truly amazing things. I think it's very humbling.

That first water outing for the baby stilts a couple of weeks ago that I seen. To us it's just some birds out in the water. To them it was one of the biggest moments of their lives. To observe the whole situation and watch how the adults all had specific jobs to do, to seeing the babies looking like 'what the hell is going on'. It was an extremely serious moment for them. It was just really awesome standing back and seeing it for what it was...

I try not to take thing's like this for granted as this time of the day could be the difference of going to bed hungry or with a belly full.
In this lock chamber when the door open or close there are always fish about.
The Lock is close and the weir is out ready for water to come down from the north so they have to do a lot more hunting get a meal at the moment.
But these do have the large pouch to be able to get a fish a little more easier than most.
