A long time ago (10+ years) someone told me that you are allowed to make just one "selective colour" image in your life, otherwise it becomes an annoying habit. I think you have chosen well for yours, because the rest of the image is fairly monochrome, anyway, so you are just emphasising what is already there

They were wrong.

Just a few seconds before this photo, this lovely old lady was sitting on a wheelchair. But then she saw the cherry blossoms in the Jardin Public (public garden) of Bordeaux and quickly she grabbed her camera and stood up to shoot them, gracefully moving like she was a teenager again.
