OK, so I'm going on vacation in 2 weeks to West Virginia with my hubby. We are going to some state parks, and also doing some tourist type things like a bridge walk and ziplining. The widest lens I own for my Sony a7riii is the Tamron 28-200. I was thinking of renting the Sony 16-35 F4 Zeiss. But then I got to thinking I do have my Sony 18-135 apsc lens. Would I be better off using the Sony 18-135 in Crop mode or the Sony 16-35 F4 not in crop mode? I went to West Virgina a few months ago and really wished for a wider lens in a few instances.

18-135mm APS-C lens has a field of view of a 27mm lens, so barely different from your 28-200.

16-35mm full-frame lens has a field of view of 16mm…
Thanks for reminding me....I can't believe I forgot about the crop factor.....I guess I wasn't thinking about it since switching from my a6100 to my a7riii.
