Set myself a challenge (70-200f4 mk1)

So, I have been hankering after new lenses, just can’t bring myself to part with 2.5k on the mk2 (yet…) as I have a very capable mk1 (albeit f4 version) and have been struggling to find a way to walk round with the dogs and camera. Any way plan A, walk one dog at a time and carry camera (it’s easier that’s for sure) new bag, carries the 70-200 attached the the IV with a small break in the weather seemed a good time to find out if the new straps are any good.

Didn’t take any keepers but the challenge at least got me out with camera in hand.

Now the challenge I set came about after stumbling on some YouTubers and one in particular caught my attention. Aperture mode and auto iso but fix the iso range, so I did., and it was to be with the 70-200f4 mk1.

Not much of a challenge but at least it got me out with the camera.

Last one, the location has a claim to fame, anyone know what it is.. small clue , a famous person stayed there a year or so ago, made a short video and instagram story about the location.. initials are A.B.

Nice collection of around town shots but what was the challenge? All of the shots are F4 ISO 400.

Sorry if I wasn’t clearer, the main objective was to get out and take pictures, no theme, other than get out and shoot, the camera set up seemed worthy of the challenge… it got me out with camera in hand

I set the camera in Aperture priority and auto iso with a limited iso range of 400-3200 and it seems to have helped as it’s freed up some mind space as less to worry about when operating on the move with one hand attached to the dog…

The issue I’m fighting with is, getting out is I just can’t leave my dogs behind, this is limiting the time I have to enjoy using the camera. I’ve decided, when I go out with the camera, I’ll just have to walk the dogs separately. Just feels like I’m going to break something with the dogs tethered to me along with carrying the camera and any kind of gear.

The new pd straps worked a treat too.
