That first and last shot got my attention. The first is well composed and brightly colored. The last is well… frightening. Great series.

Excellent! What is the shrimp sitting on in the first shot?

It's eggs. I was really pleased to capture it. I have other pictures of peacock mantis shrimp but none when they have eggs. These are incredible creatures. They have the strongest punch of any creature on earth and you usually tell where a nest is by the carnage of shells in the vicinity. This is a smasher (punches its prey) you also get a spearer which waits for passing shrimp then spears them with its arms.

Thanks. The Moray eel always makes me think of Jaws from the James Bond movie. It's teeth look like they are made from stainless steel.
