On Tuesday I had my first sighting of a White Tailed Eagle, a bird that they are re-introducing in a couple of areas here. The only regular place to see them is Scotland.
Anyway, it wasn't exactly close :D First shot is my view at 600mm in Crop Mode, so 900 equivalent, and the second is cropped as much as I dare. Of course it's not super clean and detailed, but it's a record and it really does show how much you can crop to at least have an image to keep.

I know, Isle of White birds as well. They will definitely settle at Holkham, they keep returning.

would have thought the tech in the camera would have told you it was a bird ;)

It had its eyes closed when I first spotted it. It isn't bird body AF.

The guide was pretty amazed that I spotted it and it was the first any group on that tour got to see one in the 5 years he had been doing it.
