Tethering with A7RV and either Lightroom or Capture One apps on iPad Pro

Hi there,
Probably a dumb question. I am trying to tether my A7RV to an iPad Pro, either with a cable or better still, WiFi and linked to Lightroom or Capture One, both as iPad apps. I can get the camera recognised by the Sony Creators’ app using WiFi but so far have had no luck with the other two programs. Am I trying to do the impossible or is there a knack?

Regrettably, no. Still using the Creator’s app which can be flaky.
