Hi All:

I have not been able to find this anywhere. Does anyone know if the A1ii can capture video prior to pressing the record button?

Thank you in advance.

Don

As far as I know, precapture only applies to still images, not to video.

I tried to look for it, and it looks like AI has gotten confused on the subject. I will be interested to hear if I am wrong on this.

It only applies to still photography, according to my guide.

Hi AW: I believe that is correct that the A1ii does not support pre-recording of video. Only the FX6 does that. Which brings up the point that Google AI is almost valueless. It confuses video pre-recording with still pre-capture. Google AI also makes the claim that the both Nikon and Olympus have video pre-recording--they do not. The only mirrorless that I know of that includes pre-recording of video is the R5ii. Canon calls this feature "pre-roll". Too bad I do not like Canon's telephoto zoom lenses. All are externally zooming. However, if Canon releases an internally zooming RF 300-600 I may reconsider provided the price is less than $7,500.
