Birds Birds in Flight Thread - Post Your Shots Here

well in response to the great image posted by Tim - here is my attempt at a red kite taken just outside of Crickhowell, ( South Wales) , first time out with the 200-600View attachment 849
Impressive shot. I see it was taken quite a few years ago. Do you still have or use the 200-600? Or, have you taken a different approach?

I came upon these turkey vultures when I was about to head home. When they took off, I did what I could to keep on shooting. I only had a 70-200 with a 1.4x teleconverter, but I am definitely going to invest in the FE 200-600. This is too much fun.

Welcome to the darkside. The lens you should get after that is a decent set of binoculars. Download both Merlin Bird ID and Audubon apps. If you want to get a little deeper then eBird app so you can make your lists.

Amazing birds in Costa Rica. Again noise reduction running overtime.

I like the 'departure' angle - not a commonly captured point of view!
Yes, it was a challenge for me as I have been spending quite a bit of time on aiming and tracking. I thought it was good when I shot it, but did not know until I got home and took a look. I was glad when I had a good result.
