Birds Birds in Flight Thread - Post Your Shots Here

well in response to the great image posted by Tim - here is my attempt at a red kite taken just outside of Crickhowell, ( South Wales) , first time out with the 200-600View attachment 849
Impressive shot. I see it was taken quite a few years ago. Do you still have or use the 200-600? Or, have you taken a different approach?

I came upon these turkey vultures when I was about to head home. When they took off, I did what I could to keep on shooting. I only had a 70-200 with a 1.4x teleconverter, but I am definitely going to invest in the FE 200-600. This is too much fun.

Welcome to the darkside. The lens you should get after that is a decent set of binoculars. Download both Merlin Bird ID and Audubon apps. If you want to get a little deeper then eBird app so you can make your lists.

Amazing birds in Costa Rica. Again noise reduction running overtime.

I like the 'departure' angle - not a commonly captured point of view!
Yes, it was a challenge for me as I have been spending quite a bit of time on aiming and tracking. I thought it was good when I shot it, but did not know until I got home and took a look. I was glad when I had a good result.

Well, if you think that angle is interesting, this one I did not post, but it sure is interesting.

Since you are adding more of these, if you haven't already figure out your file naming standard and your folder setup.

So, you are suggesting that I get organized beyond keeping everything in Apple Photos. You may have a point as for now I am keeping all of this stuff in its own library, but as it grows it will become more difficult to find stuff. Right now, it is small in size. Besides Apple Photos, I have Luminar Neo which has a feature called Catalogs. Do you any suggestions?
