Does anyone else with a a7RVI have a smugmug account and use DxO Photolab? I am having an odd issue with the EXIF info not showing correctly for the Lens focal length when I upload photos processed in DxO PL9. The files I edit in Lightroom show all of the information correctly. I contacted Smugmug support and they responded quickly saying there were a couple of things that looked wrong in the EXIF data. I also contacted DxO and they responded last night asking for a video showing the problem. In creating that video I tried one other thing as a test. I shot an image to use in the DxO video in RAW + JPG mode and uploaded the JPG directly to my Smugmug account. It also shows incorrect data for lens type and focal length so I sent a message to Sony support as well. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I am trying to get more data to help determine where the problem lies. Would anyone be willing to send me a jpg file straight out of an a7Rvi? I think it could probably be done by starting a conversation to send me a private message.

Update - I downloaded some of the first sample files from DPReview that were jpgs SOOC and they show the same errors in the lens info on my SmugMug account. I'm hoping that a firmware update will correct whatever exif item is causing the problem.

It's really frustrating to deal with different companies when there is a problem like I'm having. I finally got through to Sony Support on a chat. I've also contacted SmugMug Support and DxO Support. I've also uploaded JPG files straight from the camera to Flickr and 500px and both display the correct lens info. Sony says it's a SmugMug issue, SmugMug says that there are some problems with the EXIF data, DxO sent me a program to run diagnostics. This morning I took the files I exported from DxO and imported them into LRC. I then exported them and uploaded to SmugMug. That does get the lens info to show correctly.

I tried uploading a couple of photos to my SmugMug account last night and noticed that the lens info was showing correctly. I did some further tests this morning and photos straight from the camera and photos edited with DxO both are showing fine now. I sent an email to SmugMug support and got an email back saying that they did indeed find a problem on their end and corrected it so that it is now reading and displaying the exif info correctly.

I had the same issue with images uploaded to SmugMug. The problem seems to have been resolved though. I have deleted the few that had the issue and re-uploaded them, and they now show focal length EXIF correctly.

Yeah, I contacted SmugMug support early on. Originally they said that there was a problem with DxO and the exif it was writing. I also contacted DxO and Sony. Ultimately SmugMug did find that they had a problem on their end and corrected it. I discovered that it was working before they replied back to my last support email.

I have preordered an RX10V and just downloaded some sample photos from a couple of places to test. The ones from DPReview are not showing the correct exif info. The one from Mark Galer's Flickr account does show the right lens and focal length. We'll see if they get it working correctly with that camera before it ships.
