There is quite a bit to photograph (and some fun toys to look at - I got to try the 600mm f/6.3). Sony also has a lot of gear available to borrow for an hour at a time, but I brought just the A7R6 and the 50-150 f/2, and I was glad I did - this combination lets me be specific with focus (love the XS focus area), and there's a lot of room to crop. Need that in crowds, especially when you don't want to push to the front.

Lots of crowd. Can I salvage an image from this?

I cropped about 2260 x 2000 from the full frame, and had to remove part of a cap (I was glad the background was uniformly lit), and scaled the image slightly for this site, and got this:

That will do.

I have been recommending this lens to people. Yes, it's expensive, but if you can afford it, it's versatile, and very sharp. It works really well with the A7R6 (and the A1 II, and the A9 III ),

I did get a better angle later - lighting not as interesting, but some nice animation from the model.
