I walked around a local park and saw several small birds. Most stayed hidden but I did get some shots. I took my FE 100-400 GM lens along with the 1.4x and 2x tele-converters.

This female Northern Cardinal posed for me from across a small pond.

I like the Rusty Blackbird shot. It is also a very unusual bird with different shades of colors.

Winter birds are arriving so I took a trip out to a local preserve to get some shots. All with the Sony a7RV and 100-400 GM lens.

This juvenile Red-Headed Woodpecker was working on a nest in a dead tree.
