I have the Sony VG-C4EM Vertical Grip which I have used on my Sony A9ii and now on my Sony A1. It has been working fine for over a year on the A1. However in the last month just about every time I turn the power off and change batteries, the camera is dead with no power. But if I leave the power on and then slide the battery tray into the grip and lock it, the camera recognizes the batteries and the power then goes on. I've talked to a rep at BH Photo and he said his A1 does the same thing and he doesn't have a solution for it.
Does any one else have this problem and does anyone know what can be done to fix it?
