Sony A7 III A7III Freezing After Taking Photo

Hiya,

Glad this forum exists! My Sony a7iii has turned on me a little this week, all of a sudden after I take a photo, the camera seems to freeze, crash and then the monitor will only turn off once I physically remove the battery from the camera (I tried to avoid this, but it was on 'OFF' for 15mins still lit up).
Once turned back on, the photos can't be recovered.

Essentially, does anyone know what could be wrong?

I apologise if this is the wrong place to post this, im new to the forum!

Hi. Doesn't sound good, but it could be a software issue. I would, as a first step, do a full factory reset and then update the software if needed. See if that helps, if not it has to be hardware, and in that case it's a service centre fix unfortunately.

Sounds like a memory card about to fail. Just try another card or format that one.
