I had a go at photographing these manic birds this week. Bearing in mind these are on the supposedly inferior AF on the A7RiV, and I have no bird tracking, I am pretty happy with these. Nicer light would have kept the ISO lower, but they still aren't too shabby IMO. All handheld and panned using zone with tracking, and tracking sesitivity at 1 - Locked On

Kev I think that is the first time I have seen you use 5000th shutter speed, anyway nice these little buggers are quick (y)

I used 5000, 6400 and 8000 for the Little Terns last year!
 
Breaking the rules hey mate! You should know that you aren't allowed to take photos of birds with no bird recognition in the camera. Much like there were never any sharp eyes in pictures until eye AF came along..! 🫡
